GiftLegacy Awards Announced at PPGC 2017

Crescendo celebrated its annual Practical Planned Giving Conference on September 25th and 26th, 2017 in San Diego, CA. It was Crescendo's largest user conference attended by friends from all across the nation. They gathered to hear keynote speakers Paul Schervish and Jackie Franey and an excellent line-up of the nation's top presenters. At the Monday luncheon, GiftLegacy Award winners were announced.

eMarketer of the Year Award

Congratulations to Tammy Wernke, Assistant Director, Gift Planning, The University of Cincinnati Foundation on receiving the coveted 2017 eMarketer of the Year Award. Tammy and her team have used Crescendo's GiftLegacy tools and services since the fall of 2014 and have booked over $92 million in planned gifts!

GiftLeader Award

Paul Schervish received the 2017 GiftLeader Award for his outstanding leadership in philanthropy. Paul is Professor Emeritus of Sociology and founder of the Center on Wealth and Philanthropy at Boston College. He is the author of several well-known reports including Millionaires and the Millennium, which predicted the boomer wealth transfer.

Best GiftLegacy Website Award

The Best GiftLegacy Website Award was presented to LeTourneau University. Their planned giving website features a unique geometric design, custom donor stories, engaging campus photos, an introductory video, custom pages and more! Congratulations also to Victoria Theatre Association and Coast Guard Foundation for receiving honorable mention in the website category.

The Best GiftLegacy Literature Award was presented to Boston University for its branded suite of marketing materials including print newsletters, bequest literature, wills guide, eblasts and more! Honorable mention in this category was awarded to Cape Fear Valley Health Foundation and the YMCA of Greater Long Beach for their custom bequest campaign literature.

Best GiftLegacy Mission Video Award

The Best GiftLegacy Mission Video Award was awarded to Summa Health System. Their video features a contemporary design, footage of their facilities as well as branding that resonates with the health community. Honorable mention was given to Salt Lake Community College and Medical College of Wisconsin for their creative mission videos.
